A Meditation on Psalm 8

This particular scripture I think shows that the earth and everything on it speaks about God’s magnificent name. He make’s known how majestic He is by making a fortress from children’s mouths to silence His enemies and prove that He is victorious always. If we would take time to gaze at the sky, observe the moon and stars and see how beautiful and numberless they are and realize God made them and us as well, and still remembers us daily, we wouldn’t need to live in fear or doubt with Him on our side. He made us with only sky between us, not too much else separating us, and having us control all that we live around, meaning the animals and land, even though God was the one who made everything we get to control. In light of that, how extravagant and powerful is God’s name that the whole earth proves it.
Since meditating over this passage, I hope to realize and take in as much as I can the beauty and life all around me, knowing that God created it and yet saved the grand finale, man, best for last. I hope to learn and remember that He is all-powerful and victorious even through children’s lives against His enemies. I hope to realize how insignificant we are as humans but in the same thought, how valuable God has made us through Christ Jesus, ruling the land and animals and all that surrounds us.
